Restyle your small space
Working with a small space that you wish was bigger is one of the more difficult challenges in interior decor. This is even more true when expansion is not in your plans right now. Creating more space without adding square footage requires a little creativity. I like to use the magic of illusion and of course great storage and lighting.
If your main focus for restyling a small space is to make a room appear larger, we'll then it's all about the Illusions. Creating the illusion of more space can be done by using light paint colors with lighter colored furniture and glossy surfaces. Notice in the image below the light decor makes this space appear larger than it really is. Overhead lighting is also a great choice and it's good to pair with accent lighting around the room. Of course natural light is always a plus.
Create a place for everything! Hidden storage solutions that are incorporated within the furniture is a great way to hide clutter and avoid prevent overcrowding a small space. Things to look for would be a desks with storage drawers, or an ottoman with built in storage that can also serves as a coffee table. This is not only stylish but functional.
Making a space special and unique is essential when creating a space that reflects you.,
